Global warming is a hot issue nowadays, and more and more people are becoming aware of it. Although, I do not raise my voice for green effect, yet I like to live in a healthy environment. The greenhouse gases and carbon emissions are due to the increase in vehicles on the roads. Vehicles are the main reasons for producing this greenhouse effect. Nonetheless, hybrid cars are introduced in the market; these cars are ecologically friendly, and also energy efficient.
Hybrid cars work using energy from gasoline, and electricity, and this energy is produced through batteries. Hybrid cars are not new in the market; its idea is very old. We can compare it with old Trojan warships that worked using manpower of oarsmen, and the wind energy of the sea breeze using sails. The first hybrid vehicle was developed by Ferdinand Porsche back in the year 1899. This was the most modern invention of that time. After this invention, many people worked to upgrade it, and invented their own new models. In the beginning, submarines were powered by hybrid engines, and later on idea of hybrid cars was used in other vehicles, and today we see modern hybrid cards, trains, buses, cable cars, motorcycles, etc.
The question is how does a hybrid car works? A hybrid car works by getting power through two energy sources. To drive in the suburb, electric motor is used, while to drive on highways, internal combustion engine is used. There is a heavy battery in hybrid car that automatically charges itself, and gives power to electric motor. A hybrid car engine is smaller than a normal car engine, yet it is very efficient. A hybrid car is designed aerodynamically. It is build up of lightweight material with close to ground resistance tyres, and both these features make this car more successful. Why we need a hybrid car? Let us look on some of the solid reasons.
As I explained above, these cars are very efficient. They are operated electrically and therefore, work well and continually at all motor speeds. As compared to orthodox gasoline-powered engines, they produce a better amount of power in low revolutions per minute episodes. Transmissions are not used in hybrid cars to make their engines move at full ability, even on slower speeds.
One of the great features of hybrid cars is their fuel economy. Working on both electric, and fuel power, hybrid cars have the advantage of having both utilities that are able to function individually, and even together, this prospect dependent upon the time of usage. In other words, both the engines have the ability to support each other, and do not stop working if one of them is not functioning in its full capacity.
Anyone can comfortably drive hybrid cars. This is a cost-effective solution for people, as hybrid cars run partially on batteries. On contrary, in normal cars, consumers have to bear heavy fuel charges, which are likely to rise anytime. Hybrid cars are elegantly designed with lot of exclusive features like radar collision control, and automatic reverse parking sensor.
But most important of all, hybrid cars are eco-friendly and help in the sustainability of our environment. By driving something that is not damaging our planet, we are opting for a cleaner, pollution-free future of our next generations, for which they will be thankful.
All in all, the option of hybrid cars deserves serious consideration if we plan to commute via driving. Not just are they economical in terms of purchase, but they are even cheaper with respect to maintenance. Furthermore, the feeling they give about the environment is another one of its prime highlights.
