Hybrid cars are the fuel efficient automobiles that have a dual mode. They use more than one power sources such as ethanol, gasoline, hydrogen and solar. It has a petrol engine combined with the electric power generator. The electric power is generated by the electric motor power batteries. It is designed with the basic aim to achieve maximum fuel efficiency. It is different from the simple or non-hybrid cars in many aspects.
The biggest advantage of driving a hybrid car is that it is fuel efficient. The engine has a perfect combination of electric cleaner energy accessorized with a wide capacity for gasoline. Whenever the motor vehicle stops, the gasoline engine shuts off automatically; in this way less amount of fuel is consumed, while the gasoline engines starts automatically when you accelerate.
Hybrid cars have been designed to reduce drag and to make them more slippery. This means that a hybrid car consumes less fuel. Hybrid cars are made of lightweight body parts that reduce their body weight. This has been done to compensate for the weight of their batteries. Since the batteries weigh a lot and if they were put on a conventional car; the car would move at the speed of a snail. The tires used in hybrid cars are narrow and offer low resistance. These are also used to reduce the drag of the car.
Another unique feature of a hybrid car is that at low speed it is soundless. Hence, pedestrians often complain that they cannot hear the car approaching. But the fact that a series hybrid car is using its electric powerhouse to propel the car means that the environment is not being polluted with harmful emissions. The start/stop technology for the petrol engine ensures that the car is consuming less fuel. This also translates into greater fuel efficiency and lower transportation costs. The road tax bracket is also reduced for hybrid cars.
Another unique feature of a hybrid car is that there is minimum external noise in the cabin of the car, which means that the passengers enjoy a quieter drive. As hybrid cars use two power sources, they are available with automatic transmissions and a selection of power sources. The driver does not have to think about the gear and the power-source to use. Everything is automated in a hybrid car; therefore the driving experience is much better. The car gives its required power and depending on the speed, selects the power source or sources. Therefore driving a hybrid car is quite easy.
Hybrid cars are based on split technology. The gasoline combustion engine, along with the electric motor, provides additional power to assist the car in accelerating, passing and climbing. During times when much power is not required, the engine automatically switches to the electric motor to save the consumption of fuel.
The power split device enables the car to work like a parallel as well as the series hybrid. The electric motor and the gasoline engine can power the vehicle independently in the parallel hybrid. In case of the series hybrid, the gasoline engine provides power to charge the batteries. The hybrid cars have a beautiful exterior. The front and the rear are designed to decrease the damping effect produced by the air drag. It has a touch screen, with interactive displays that provide information at your fingertips. It offers climate, temperature and radio information at a glance.
The hybrid cars are made unique because of their environment friendly features. They control the environmental pollution by reduced emission of carbon dioxide and other harmful gases. It burns less gasoline as compared to the conventional cars. Approximately, hybrid cars reduce the smog by 90 percent. All the big names in automobile industry are very keen to adopt this feature of hybrid cars. The hybrid car vehicle is designed to give a wonderful driving experience.

Lexus car fans, car enthusiasts, and super car lovers have been waiting for the LFA, since it was displayed at Detroit motor show in 2005. The first batch of these super handcrafted cars will be delivered to customers in 2010. Test drivers have had the opportunity of driving the test cars. The LFA has left a lasting impression on these drivers. One thing they all agree on is that, this car is not for the faint hearted.
The LFA has been in development for the last ten years. Production was delayed when the development team decided to switch the body shell from aluminium to carbon fibre. This low slung super car with it numerous air scoops and cut-offs shows how carefully the car has been designed. At first glance, it looks awesome, and very different from any other car you will see on the roads.
The V10 engine produces 480Nm of torque at 6,800rpm through the Dual VVT-i technology. This is achieved through the 12-hole fuel injectors. This enables the car to take a speed from zero to 62kmph within 3.7 seconds. It has a purpose-designed six-speed Automated Sequential Gearbox (ASG), a transmission system, to drive the rear wheels through the limited slip differential. It is fixed in transaxle mount over the rear axle. It maintains the front-to-rear weight distribution.
The bespoke engine delivers scintillating performance. Smooth running is achieved through the 72-degree angle between the cylinder heads. Each cylinder gives an excellent throttle response by providing electronically controlled throttle bodies. The engine being compact weighs as much as the conventional V6 engine.
The driver can select between four driving modes; sport, wet, normal, and automatic. The Lexus LFA is completely different from the other luxury cars made by Lexus. It is a low slung, super car. Everything about the car has been carefully planned and assembled. The carbon fibre body, titanium, and aluminium parts in the engine, and the low centre of gravity make the LFA a truly astounding car.
The car contains a dry sump lubrication system. This lowers the centre of gravity and moment of inertia by fixing the block deep into the engine bay. The driving system comprises of four driving modes; Auto, Sport, Normal and Wet. These modes are operated or selected through the dial in the dashboard. Each driving mode contains a particular gearshift programme, and engine and brake control logic systems. This is essential to allow the driver to tailor the performance of the car to suit the driving conditions.
The six-speed robotised manual gearbox is somewhat of a standard considering the peers of the car, and there are few complaints about its performance on the track, or when pushed hard. Problems arise at low speeds, when the robotised clutch slips and bangs around. Shifting from reverse to first gears involves going through neutral in each direction, so manoeuvring into a parking bay can be tiresome.
The only thing that may cause concern to LFA owners will be getting insurance for it. However, people who buy such cars know how to go about getting them insured. The 500 Lexus LFA super cars will be snapped up, as there are many car connoisseurs who will just love to own one, as it will be a rare breed.

With the increase in the global warming and the everyday rise in the prices of even the basic commodities, the world is talking about going green and using everything green, in order to cause less damage to the environment. People are discovering new methods and devices that are more eco-friendly. This effort is being made in order to save the nature and the human beings. The invention of hybrid cars is one such effort to minimize global warming and to provide an eco-friendly vehicle.
Nicknamed as the car of the era, hybrid cars are now becoming popular due to their improved performance, and efforts in saving the environment from being further polluted. Big names like Lexus are now also integrating hybrid engines in most of their latest models, while keeping the excellent quality of their engine performance. This is so because the carmakers and consumers both know that the hybrid technology is not only beneficial for the company, and the car owner, but also to their neighbours, their country, and in fact the whole planet.
Hybrid cars are one of the ground-breaking inventions of science to help minimize the damaging effects on the planet. These cars are named for the hybrid technology that is used to manufacture them. This technology is also being incorporated by most of the largest automotive manufacturers in the engines of their latest model cars. Hybrid technology uses two kinds of energy sources to work, mainly electrical energy provided by an electric motor, and gasoline. Smaller size of engine reduces the weight of the car itself and the aerodynamic models reduce air friction hence less energy and fuel is required to run the car.
There is another factor behind the money saving feature of these cars. These cars have very attractive tax incentives due to political pressure from around the world on fuel emissions, which is causing great damage to the ozone layer of our planet. As these cars have low fuel emissions, therefore, they enjoy a great amount of tax relaxation. The hybrid cars provide a better mileage than the conventional vehicles since the gas consumption is a very less in them.
The performance of the hybrid cars is more or less the same as the conventional cars due to the latest advancements in the automobile engineering technologies. These are very fast cars along with being environment friendly as they have modern engines in them.
The vehicle is charged using Regenerative Braking Technology, generally referred to as RBT, which yet is another breakthrough in scientific technology. This added advantage saves you from the hassle of charging the vehicle by any external source of electrical energy and thus have no effect on your electricity bills.
RBT (Regenerative Braking Technology) is another of the science wonders included in hybrid cars due to which, these vehicles need not to be charged by an external energy source. This saves the headache of plugging your vehicle with your electrical outlets, and increases your electricity bills.
The most important however is the need to reduce carbon emission and fuel exhaustion, which results in global warming, in order to provide our upcoming generations a safer planet and a better world to live in.

In 1769, Brezine invented the first self-powered vehicle. There came many modifications in the mechanism of hybrid cars as time passed. The modern automobiles are meeting the current demands, or requirements of the global world, and they are in tenure of latest technology.
A hybrid vehicle is a vehicle that uses two or more unique power sources to move the vehicle. The term mostly refers to hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) that combine an internal combustion engine and one or more electric motors.
It is more important to know that hybrid cars have the strong power functions like on-board or out-board rechargeable energy storage system (RESS), Gasoline or Diesel fuel Hydrogen, Compressed air Liquid nitrogen, Human powered e.g. pedalling or rowing Wind electricity, compressed or liquefied natural gas, and Solar Waste heat from internal combustion engine. This could be converted to steam or electricity (e.g. via Sterling engine or Thermo generator) to increase vehicle propulsion. The extra power may also be used for supplemental systems (for example cooling for cool-trucks,) Coal, wood, biochar and others solid combustibles electromagnetic fields. The hybrid vehicle originally contains huge fuel economy and fewer emissions than conventional internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEVs), which reduce emissions being generated. These savings are basically achieved by three elements of a typical hybrid design: 1. Hybrid cars rely on both the engine and the electric motors for greater power needs, resulting in a little engine sized more for normal usage rather than peak power usage. A smaller engine can give less internal losses and lower weight. 2. Hybrid cars are having unique battery storage capacity to store and reuse recaptured energy, commonly in stop-and-go traffic.
If we compare the hybrid vehicle with conventional internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEVs), the hybrid cars originally contains huge fuel economy, and fewer emissions. The three elements of a typical hybrid design cause these savings.
These are some vital features that make a hybrid car particularly efficient for city traffic, where people find frequent stops, coasting and waste periods.
1. Hybrid cars have to depend upon both the engine, and the electric motor for greater power needs, which results in a little engine size, more for normal usage rather than power peak usage. Whereas a smaller engine can give less internal losses and weight.
2. Hybrid cars perform much better commonly when they are at halt, and go terrific, as they have unique battery storage capacity to store, and reuse recaptured energy.
These vital features of a hybrid car make it extraordinary; particularly it is efficient for city traffic, where people find frequent stops, coasting, and waste periods. At idling and low operating speeds, noise emissions are specifically decreased in comparison to conventional engine vehicles.
This hybrid car is one of the primary SUV hybrids, and Lexus has classified it as a “luxury” SUV. Despite of the reality that the fuel is going lesser day by day, the technological advancement continues.
Therefore, hybrid cars are the cars of the future. There is a wonderful increase in the popularity and demand of hybrid cars.
